Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
The event encourages developers to create peaceful add-ons and challenges to their games to help raise cash and awareness for the charity.
UK charity War Child has teamed up with game devs for its second annual Armistice Day fundraiser.
The event, which raised raised $130,000 in just 8 weeks last year, encourages developers to create peaceful add-ons and challenges for their games to help raise cash and awareness for the charity.
This year's campaign will run from November 6 until mid-December, and is once again supported by BlackMill Games, Positech, Wargaming, and M2H.
Those familiar faces are joined by newcomers including Big Huge Games, Flaregames, 11 Bit Studios, Focus Home Interactive, XSplit, and Extra Credits.
Last year's group created some unique non-violent game modes like snowball fights, football matches, and letters from the battlefront.
It's a nifty idea that presents developers with a unique creative challenge while helping to raise cash for a fantastic cause, and War Child hopes the event will continue to grow.
"War Child's vision for Armistice is an annual event, where more and more game studios get involved and contribute to raising awareness and funds for children affected by war across the world," said the charity.
"Now in its second year, the event has grown closer to being the biggest source of charity fundraising in the gaming sector."
