Wargaming.net has announced a new sequel to its popular World of Tanks free-to-play MMO, saying that World of Battleships will follow the upcoming World of Warplanes. The third game in what the company is calling its World of trilogy will bring the tactical MMO to the sea, in addition to the ground and air combat offered in its other two games. "Humans always needed to conquer the elements -- earth, water and air. With World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Battleships we will offer players to conquer all, simultaneously," said Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kislyi. World of Battleships "will offer a straightforward interface, easy-to-use controls, and a common economic system that will allow players to distribute resources between the three games for the ultimate progress in each of them," the company said in a statement. Wargaming.net's popular World of Tanks recently surpassed 5 million registered users.
