The organisers behind the Xbox Live Indie Games Summer Uprising, originally announced last month, have revealed the games that will be part of the promotion in August. Eight upcoming XBLIG games have been chosen by a select panel of judges to be promoted, and an extra two games will be selected by the Xbox Live community to join them in the August promotion. The games in full are: T.E.C. 3001, Speedrunner HD, Raventhorne, Take Arms, Train Frontier Express, Cute Things Dying Violently, Doom and Destiny and Battle High: San Bruno. Voting for the additional two games that are to be added to the bundle will take place at the official site between August 1-14, with the winners being announced on August 16. The promotion will then begin on August 22 and run through until September 2, with all 10 games being released in this time. The organisers had originally stated that the promotion would run until September 12. Last December's Indie Games Winter Uprising included 14 titles from a number of relatively well-known indie game makers. Winter Uprising organizer and Zeboyd Games founder Robert Boyd reported the promotion saw spotty results overall, largely due to problems coordinating releases thanks to technical problems with the Indie Games submission process. Microsoft has since added publishing control to the service to allow for better release coordination.
