Taking a break from technology can reap rewards.
Sometimes we get so involved in technology that we forget to take a break from it. Even when we take a break from game development we end up watching Television or playing video games. It dawned on me the other day that some of my best game development ideas have come to us in casual conversation while doing none technical things. I guess it puts the creative process on a low priority thread to stew for a bit, I don’t know for sure.
Anyhow we have been working on getting “Liquid Chicken” bullet proof and the anxiety has been building and building. So I have decided to take a day off. This will be the first in about a year. So I just wanted to say that sometimes you have to get away from technology for your mind to come up with some of its best solutions. Personally for us, some of our best game ideas have came to us while playing poker and sitting around talking. It is still a game I guess, but at least we get some time from sitting in front of a screen of some sort or another.
