Zynga today brought its popular city-building social game CityVille to the Google+ network, marking the second game to be released on the service from the social gaming giant. Social games for Google+ originally launched back in August with 16 titles available, including Zynga Poker, Rovio's Angry Birds and PopCap's Bejeweled Blitz. Now Zynga has followed its poker title up with another of its popular Facebook apps. When CityVille originally launched on Facebook last year, it saw over 290,000 users in the first 24 hours. Zynga has continued to push the game since, with a launch in China over the summer via a partnership with popular internet service portal Tencent. A spin-off title called CityVille Hometown was also launched in the summer, with users able to interact with players of the original CityVille to swap resources. With the release of CityVille on Google+, this now brings the total games available via the service up to eighteen.
