Social games giant Zynga has seen its latest Facebook release Empires & Allies reach 30 million active users in less than three weeks. In 19 days, the social strategy title has seen a total of 32,974,509 players, with a huge boost of over 20 million players in the last week from 9.7 million players, according to statistics from AppData. The game, which Zynga said includes "more social features than any Zynga game", was released on June 1. It is also currently seeing 6.5 million daily active users. It is a free-to-play title, much like many of Zynga's other Facebook games, but players can buy virtual currency to speed up production of their armies and give themselves an advantage. Last week, the company continued its push into the social mobile field with CityVille Hometown, a spinoff of its popular Facebook urban simulation CityVille available now in Canada for iPhone, and everywhere else soon.
