Through a partnership with PopCap, Sony Online Entertainment said it's bringing the popular Plants vs. Zombies to PlayStation Network, along with titles from NinjaBee, Recoil Games and other developers. SOE says its PSN games have collectively been downloaded 6.5 million times worldwide, a trend of strong performance on the network that it hopes to continue with this latest lineup. Plants vs. Zombies will kick off the slate, arriving on PSN in February, SOE says. It's also teaming up with doujin game licensor Rockin' Android to bring anime-styled robot fighter Acceleration of Suguri X Edition to the platform. Fire Hose Games' "building and brawling mash-up" Slam Bolt Scrappers will be a PSN exclusive, as will Akimi Village -- which was created by World of Keflings developer NinjaBee. Akimi Village tasks players with resource-management and village-building in a quest to rescue an island. SOE will also publish Sideway, a collaboration between Fuel Industries and Playbrains that focuses on the adventures of a 2D artist rebelling against 3D streets in the "gritty art culture in New York City." It launches "this spring," according to the company. Finally, Recoil Games will release Rochard, which is a side-scrolling puzzle and exploration title that stars space miner John Rochard in a search for extra-terrestrial life.
