To start, let's talk gameplay. The boredom of the first battles of the first opus is now far behind but remains tarnished by the ease of executing 150 opponents as a result and by the lack of diversity of enemies. We are still dealing with guards or soldiers not reacting in groups, not taking the risk to defend their comrades or to develop a common strategy to defeat the assassin.

The biggest worry of gameplay is the progressive forgetting of the phases of infiltrations. I found the search phases with Altaïr fairly light but fair. With Ezio there are no longer really these questions that were crucial: "Who is my target? How does she live? What are his occupations? Where to strike? In which circumstances ? Etc. ". To obtain this information, there is no longer any approach to the target where it is possible to say "I can assassinate it, but it is not the moment" because once the target is near Attack directly.

About the level design, we can marvel at the great work done in the reconstruction of towns (or portions) and the realization of historical monuments. As it is for a player, it is very satisfying to be able to climb on a monument, it is an easy way to take ownership (or rather to make the morons), more than through historical information.

However, I only remember the Colosseum of Rome and some palaces in Venice or Jerusalem as places of mission, all the other monuments seem more to me to say "It's a superb historical thing looking at if you want points! ". While all these places are places of life or events a little more distracting. Places are getting better and better filled on is still far from the anthill, and some places can be used even more like churches and markets. Historically, these are privileged places of encounter, exchange and shady stuff that could have been the subject of many interactions. Fortunately there are the crowds, the establishment of stalls and Templars to avoid finding the empty decorations.

For the scenario, first, THANK YOU! Yes, thanks because the games in which one has to strike the Pope (even bad) or some religious icon are rare enough to underline it. My latest terrorist act goes back to a battle against the Pope in Medieval Total War where the beggars of the Vatican did not want to pay the ransom (Traduction : The throat of the VIP has bled).

For the sake of scenario, there is already that relating to the contemporary units of Abstergo devoid of lethal weapon (or at least cooler than an electric tonfa). That an overpowering society would have no difficulty in procuring it. Afterwards to continue with Abstergo, I was very surprised that it was Warren VIDIC who was appointed in charge of the research of the fugitive Desmond. It is certainly the mention "Researcher" on the business card of the character who played a role in this choice ....

I was disappointed with the low contribution of the characters of Machiavelli, the family of Ezio or the different faction leaders present in the history of Ezio.

It is also a pity not to encounter any personages who can not situate themselves in relation to the crisis between assassins and Templars, for the divergence of opinion on the freedom and morals of both sides could leave many indifferent. Also, there have been so many opportunistic people during the historic upheaval that it is a shame to have none to knock out.

The bulk of what we could add to this beautiful saga:

Neutral and opportunistic characters
Secondary characters more involved in the story of the hero
Intimate missions in places of prestige
More spontaneous interactions with the crowd
A fraction of the population more substantial than Riches / Bourgeois / Roturs
Harder murder contracts to be executed
Longer target studies
A wider range of enemies
The "active" possibility of terrifying opponents
A group AI for enemies / allies
Hitboxing of enemies and localized damage
A more gore mode
A map and more feng-shui portals
Greater management of the brotherhood
More economic parameters to manage
The possibility of arranging the arrangement of parts under city control
Opening Multiplayer to Modders
Persistent zones for multiplayer
Dynamic battle in multiplayer
More specific buildings (justice, taverns, dormitories, orphanages, ...)
An episode on the French Revolution and on Napoleon!
