Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Ask questions about making good local multiplayer games with one of the minds behind Nidhogg 2 today at 3PM EDT.
Nidhogg 2 is finally out, and if you enjoyed playing the first fantasy fencing game, good news, you’re going to like the second one, because it’s extremely similar gameplay. Same two-button dynamic, same gruesome deaths, same monster.
But there’s a lot more to Nidhogg 2 than just running and fighting. There’s the new art style, the decision to do a sequel instead of making updates to the first game, and the addition of new weaponry. To talk about these concepts, we’re going to be interviewing lead developer Mark Essen today at 3PM EDT on the Gamasutra Twitch channel while streaming Nidhogg 2.
It should be fun! Come by if you want to ask Essen your questions about developing local multiplayer games, or if you want to learn about translating game animation from one style to another.
And of course, for more developer interviews, gameplay commentary, and editor roundtables, be sure to follow the Gamasutra Twitch channel today at 3PM EDT.
