Total War developer Creative Assembly wants to combat the UK's growing "skills shortage" by establishing a new music and game design course with the help of East London Arts and Music.
The two-year BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma will run as part of ELAM's 16-19 Academy, and will teach an industry-developed curriculum focused on key areas of game design like programming, art, mechanics, and sound.
Those enrolled will gain access to mentoring, masterclasses, and workshops organised and attended by Creative Assembly staffers.
As an ELAM course the program will also focus on inclusion and diversity, with 70 percent of the college's current student body coming from a BAME (black, asian, and minority ethnic) backgrounds.
