Did you know Observer came out this month? No? We didn’t either, until suddenly our friends around the game journalism world were all abuzz about it. While we’re trying to get the developers on the horn to ask them how they made such an intriguing horror game, we decided to take it for a spin today on the Gamasutra Twitch channel.

It’s something of a slow burn—we took a whole hour to ease into the game’s detective-driven mechanics while looking for our protagonist’s son. But at the end of the hour, we jacked into the brain of a dying man to try and figure out who killed him and things went a little off the rails.

You can watch our playthrough of the game’s opening hour above, and while you’re at it, be sure to follow the Gamasutra Twitch channel for more gameplay commentary, developer interviews and editor roundtables.
