Systems & Level Designer, CCP Games

Location: Newcastle, England CCP is looking to add a strong designer to its creative team in the Newcastle studio. The studio is currently working on EVE Valkyrie, a fast paced space dogfighting shooter enhanced through the use of VR hardware. For this exciting and ground-breaking project we require a confident and talented individual to take on responsibility for key systems and map creation duties. The candidate must have good design skills in order to take ownership of features from the ground up through prototyping into a final shippable product. They should have passion and commitment to create AAA work while constantly seeking new ways of pushing the boundaries. Responsibilities: Effectively create and communicate designs with other disciplines. Participates in the development of prototypes. Own and execute game designs and revisions to completion. Manage, solicit and act upon feedback from play tests and team members. Support the determination of technical or artistic approaches and the development of new and enhanced tools. Balancing of multiplayer game play and features. Required Experience/Skills: Experience with multiplayer systems and modes. Minimum 4+ years working in or knowledge of 3D software and scripting languages. 4+ years’ experience working on AAA quality game titles as a designer (Console experience preferred). 2+ Shipped titles. Advantageous Experience/Skills: Knowledge and understanding of current UI solutions. Experience or knowledge of micro-transactions and experience game loops. Multiplayer map creation experience. Familiar with agile scrum methodologies. Interest in Virtual Reality for games. Interest in multiplayer games. Interested? Apply now.
