With the rising popularity of VR applications across all industries, Virtual Reality Developers Conference organizers are highlighting a VRDC Fall 2017 panel focused on the history of VR and its future.

If you’re coming to VRDC Fall 2017, which is happening September 21-22 at a bigger, better venue in San Francisco, you’ll want to keep an eye on this panel to gain insight into the fascinating past of VR, and learn about the trends that will shape its future.

In his discussion on “How VR Will Go Mainstream: The History of VR and Where It’s Going,” Tony Parisi will discuss the history of virtual reality and offer insight into why the industry is where it is now, while predicting how the medium will progress as time moves forward.

One of the earliest pioneers in the VR industry, Parisi is co-creator of 3D graphics standards like the virtual reality modeling language (VRML), which allowed for the creation 3D environments that were accessible through a web browser.  He’s gone on to pen books about VR and programming applications in HTML5 and WebGL, as well as oversee virtual and augmented reality strategies at Unity Technologies.

A key goal of the panel is to inform attendees about the compelling ways VR and AR intersect, as well as give a peek into what’s next and how it will propel VR into the mainstream. At the end, the panel will gladly answer questions from the audience, so please join them to get your questions answered!

And of course, VRDC Fall 2017 organizers look forward to announcing many more talks for the event in the weeks to come. Don’t forget to register early at a discounted rate!

Since tickets sold out for the first three VRDC events, VRDC Fall 2017 will offer more sessions and move to a bigger location at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco, CA September 21-22.
