Peter Bromley, one of the co-founders of tabletop games publisher Mayfair Games, passed away on September 2, 2016 at the age of 60 after a brief illness.

According to his obituary, Bromley’s dedicated his life to designing tabletop games and maintaining the general health of Mayfair Games, which notably publishes the English-language version of Settlers of Catan, and its Star Trek-inspired spinoff Star Trek Catan.

Bromley’s game collection, which he assembled over the course of his life with the help of his brother Darwin, has been donated to the National Museum of Play for historians and researchers to study. His family has requested that donations be made to the Museum in lieu of flowers.

Bromley is survived by his brothers Darwin, David, and William Bromley, as well as their wives and children.
