As you know, the Game Developers Conference is returning to the Moscone Center in San Francisco, March 19-23, 2018. With that thought in your head, you should consider submitting a talk to one of the upcoming conference summits or seminars!
The call for submissions is now open for GDC’s Virtual Reality Developers Conference (VRDC@GDC), GDC Summits, and Game Career Seminar through Friday, September 29 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. Both VRDC@GDC and GDC Summits will be held March 19-20, 2018 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. The Game Career Seminar takes place in the same location on Friday, March 23, 2018.

VRDC@GDC advisors are accepting submissions exploring virtual reality and augmented reality spaces pertaining to both game and non-game, entertainment-immersive development.
You can also submit a proposal to the Game Career Seminar designed for students and individuals interested in learning how to build a career in the game industry.
