Tutorial Design and the Cuphead Demo Argument

The recent debate over Cuphead's tutorial and demo out of Gamescom frames a special video going off my thoughts and a lesson on how to build tutorials.

Last week, there was a debate due to one demo play of Cuphead from the site Venturebeat. The demo has been criticized by gamers saying that the person did a horrible job of playing. Meanwhile, designers criticized gamers saying that the tutorial was at fault. In this video, I shared my thoughts on the matter and talked about how to design an effective tutorial in the process.
