"I am not your typical White House employee."
With those words game industry veteran and former White House staffer Mark DeLoura launched into a talk at GDC 2015 about the lessons he learned in just under two years of service as a senior advisor in the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy.
DeLoura is a game developer with experience across the industry, and in his talk he shares how his view of what games can be expanded while serving under President Obama. Games are more than entertainment, he argues -- they can be used to improve education efforts, assist people in living healthier lives and augment sicentific research.
