Video: Applying game design principles to be a better leader

Leading others is tricky work, no matter what business you work in. In the game industry it can be especially hard, but many game makers are well-versed in a discipline that might help them become better leaders: game design. 

At GDC 2017, Happy Brain Science's Scott Crabtree took the stage to share his perspective on how you can apply game design lessons to your work as a leader so your colleagues have more fun, become more engaged, and work together more effectively.

It was a thought-provoking talk that explored what human needs games satisfy well, and how you as a leader can do the same. It may sound simple, but Crabtree believes power-ups and badges can be meaningful to your work as a leader.
