CryTrek's done a lot of research in making virtual reality possible for developers in the games industry, both by providing support CryEngine for VR development and working on their own game The Climb to better improve that engine by learning lessons in VR development.

While building The Climb, one of the biggest challenges proved to be managing the game's user interface. Since the player is staring at a screen inches from their face, and not looking at a TV or computer monitor, the way they interact game worlds alters how designers build the user interface.

And of course, with changes to the user interface come changes to modeling, animations, art pipelines and so much more. If you're looking for solutions to your VR pipeline, you can watch it for completely free on our YouTube channel.
