It is evident from Autodesk that they want to get back into the game industry.  With the recent purchase of Wildpockets it seems that the world of Cloud game computing will be in LUA. 

The announcement that Autodesk owns wildpockets will help lead all those LUA scripters into Cloud Computing.  Roblox, Half Life2, WOW and other LUA scripters should jump on this new BETA platform. 

For those not familiar with Lua. It  is a powerful, fast, lightweight, embeddable scripting language.  For the artist, you should "Always be scripting" in order to improve production pipelines.  We script in Adobe Photoshop, 3D Max and many other programs to improve performance and deadlines.

Lua syntax and scripting these days is a valuable part of any game. Scripting is utilized in games like Unreal Tournament, Half-Life, Neverwinter Nights, Quake III, Unreal II, and other games.

LUA Scripting give you control and it allows you to  perform A.I.,  game triggered events, game design. Scripting is what the mod community has been using to allow them to make new levels and intelligent autonomous bots.

Lua is one of the simplest scripting languages available. try it and it's free.
