Ace Attorney Investigations Sequel Tops Japanese Sales Charts

Capcom's Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth 2 led the Japanese software charts this week, followed by a handful of other new handheld releases, reports tracking firm Media Create. This latest Ace Attorney title is the sequel to the 2009 spin-off starring series rival Miles Edgeworth, this time featuring a new "Chess Logic" mode for solving conversation-based puzzles. For the week ended February 6, PSP titles Macross: The Final Frontier and White Knight Chronicles Episode Portable: Dogma Wars rounded out the top three, followed by Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butouden for Nintendo DS. Mistwalker's Wii-exclusive The Last Story, which led the charts last week, fell to number seven with 19,178 units sold. The other titles in last week's top three also slid down the rankings, with Valkyria Chronicles 3 at number eight and My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute Portable at number 10. Capcom's Monster Hunter Freedom 3 climbed one spot to number six, after falling several places last week. Titles slipping from the top 10 this week include Dragon Age: Origins, Toaru Majutsu no Index, and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep - Final Mix.
