The Cooking Mama franchise has collectively sold four million units in the U.S., says publisher Majesco. "We are thrilled to reach this significant milestone," says CEO Jesse Sutton. The franchise currently comprises five E-rated titles that retail for $29.99 or less, including Cooking Mama, which first launched in 2006, followed by Cooking Mama 2: Dinner With Friends and Gardening Mama on DS. There are also two Wii titles: Cooking Mama: Cook Off and Cooking Mama: World Kitchen for Wii. The Cooking Mama franchise was originally devised by Japanese developer Office Create, and the developer is now known as Cooking Mama Ltd. "We will continue to explore ways to expand the Mama brand with innovative and compelling products that offer new entertainment experiences," says Sutton.
