Microsoft and Ruffian's Xbox 360-exclusive action title Crackdown 2 was the top-selling title in the UK for the week ended July 17, tracking firm Chart-Track said Monday. It's the second week in a row that the game captured the top spot on the all-platforms chart, which lumps together sales of all versions of a given title. Crackdown 2 outsold titles such as Ubisoft's Dance on Broadway, which was only 800 units behind Crackdown 2 for the week. Dance on Broadway for Wii follows the success of Ubisoft's pop song-oriented Just Dance (number 10 this week) by implementing theater tunes from Hair, Dreamgirls, Hairspray and other musicals. Before Crackdown 2's release, Warner Bros. and Traveller's Tales' game Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 led the charts for two consecutive weeks. This most recent week saw the game drop to the third spot. The only new game to break into the top 10 for the week was Disney Interactive Studios' Toy Story 3, which came in fifth on the all-platforms list. In addition, Chart-Track said the launch of the recently-introduced, revised Xbox 360 S hardware "surpassed the launches of both PS2 Slim and PS3 Slim," and recorded over two days around the same sales of the original Xbox 360 in its launch week in 2005.
