Microsoft has announced, via the weblog of staffer Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb, the top ten games currently being played over Xbox Live. Halo 2 continues to prove its popularity as the top played game, followed by Activision and Infinity Ward's World War II first-person shooter Call of Duty 2. Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter ranks as the third most played game over the online community service. 2K Games and Bethesda Softworks' role-playing epic The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the forth most popular game being played, followed by Electronic Arts and Digital Illusions' Xbox 360 port of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat in fifth. Surprisingly, the recently released Xbox Live Arcade game Uno ranks as the sixth most played game over Xbox Live, beating out both the demo for MotoGP 06 and Square Enix's Final Fantasy XI, which rank as the seventh and eighth most played games, respectively. The top ten list is rounded out by EA Chicago's boxing game Fight Night Round 3 in ninth, and the demo for Capcom's E3 centerpiece Lost Planet as the tenth most played game over Xbox Live.
