Organizers of the Nordic Game 2008 conference have announced that ICO and Shadow of the Colossus creator Fumito Ueda will join the “Disruptive Design” session in the Game Creation and Technology program. The session will focus on creative innovation and new game niches, with fellow panelists including Silent Hill and Siren creator Keiichiro Toyama, Rock Band’s Roby Kay and Ninja Theory co-founder Tameem Antoniades. Ueda heads the Team ICO development team at Sony Computer Entertainment Japan’s Product Development Department #1. PlayStation 2 titles ICO and Shadow of the Colossus have become cult hits. The team has yet to announce its next game, though it is rumored to still take place in the ICO universe. The Nordic Game 2008 conference now boasts more than one hundred industry profiles from around the world and is the largest event of its kind ever in the region. The conference and associated career expo will take place on May 14th and 15th at the Malmö Convention Center in Malmö, Sweden.
