IO Interactive's Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days topped the UK sales charts for the week ended August 21, tracking firm Chart-Track announced Monday. The Square-Enix published title saw a much stronger debut than the original Kane & Lynch, which peaked at the number 14 spot in its second week in the UK. Rounding out the top three were Disney's Toy Story 3 and Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption, both strong selling titles week over week. No other new titles entered the top 10 this week, though Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands found its way to number eight. Although it didn't break the top 10 this week, Chart-Track announced that Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 made history this week, surpassing Nintendo's Brain Training as the best-selling title in the UK after only 10 months. For comparison, Brain Training took 36 months to surpass the UK's previous top-selling title, Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
