Nintendo's Pokemon Black/White remains on top of the Japanese hardware charts after its very successful launch, selling more units this week than the combined sales of all other titles. For the week ended September 26, the popular DS duo sold 828,580 units, while Sega's debut Yakuza title on the PSP, Black Leopard: A New Tale of Yakuza, took the number two spot with 174,213 units sold, reports tracking firm Media Create. Black Leopard follows in the footsteps of Sega's previous Yakuza titles for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3, featuring a new protagonist and marking the first time the series has appeared on the PSP. Nintendo's Wii Party found its way into the top three this week with 43,007 units sold, a slight bump from its 36,547 units sold last week. Several other new titles debuted in the top 10 this week, including the visual novel Durarara!! 3-way Standoff, Yeti's tactical strategy game Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Ryouran Sangokushi Engi, and Koei Tecmo's Winning Post 7 2010. Games falling from the top this week include Taiko Drum Master DS: Dororon! Battle With the Ghouls!! and Super Mario Galaxy 2, which hit the 11th and 12th spots, respectively. Below are Media Create's top 10 sales chart for the week ended September 26, 2010.
