In a plentiful week for new releases, Nintendo's Pokemon Black/White continues to lead the Japanese software sales charts, reports tracking firm Media Create. For the week ended October 10, Namco Bandai's Blu-ray-and-game combo pack Gekijouban Macross F: Itsuwarino Utahime - Hybrid Pack landed in the number two spot with 152,699 units sold, followed by Square Enix's most recent Kingdom Hearts spinoff, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, which sold 95,505 units. Rockstar and Take-Two's popular Red Dead Redemption made a strong debut performance in Japan this week, selling 70,599 units on PlayStation 3 and 25,763 units on Xbox 360. The game's overall sales of 96,632 units places it just above Kingdom Hearts Re:coded for the week. Other new titles this week include Acquire's dungeon crawler Class of Heroes 3 and Codemasters' F1 2010, which took the fifth and eighth spots, respectively. Nintendo's Wii Party jumped to number six this week, and Capcom's Dead Rising 2 and Sega's K-On! After School Live!! fell to the bottom of the top 10. Titles dropping from the top 10 this week include Black Leopard: A New Tale of Yakuza, Okamiden, Eiyuu Densetsu: Zero no Kiseki, and Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team. Below are Media Create's top 10 sales chart for the week ended October 10, 2010.
