The second major story DLC pack for CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3 won awards in two categories during the 34th annual player's choice Golden Joystick Awards.
The second expansion for CD Projekt Red’s 2015 game The Witcher 3 took home awards for both Best Storytelling and Best Visual Design in the 34th annual Golden Joystick Awards held earlier today. The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine was notably the only example of DLC receiving an award across any category, let alone two.
From Software's Dark Souls III was named the Ultimate Game of the Year, despite Blizzard’s Overwatch taking home the most Golden Joysticks in this year. The competitive first-person shooter was recognized as Best Original Game, Best Multiplayer Game, PC Game of the Year, and Best Competitive Game.
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine fell right behind with three awards, followed by Niantic’s Pokemon Go with awards in both Innovation of the Year and Handheld/Mobile Game of the Year.
The Golden Joystick Awards tallied millions of fan votes from across the globe to choose winners across over twenty total categories. A list of the games and developers honored can be found below, while the full award show can be found on the GamesRadar YouTube channel.
