Officials from German developer and producer 10tacle Studios have announced details of the company’s preliminary (un-audited provisional figures) results for 2006, in which sales grew by 62.25 percent. The company saw sales grow to €29.037 million ($38.2m), up from €17.896 million ($23.5m) the previous year. At the same time EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) increased by 181.59 percent to €4.742 million ($6.2m), up from €1.684 million ($2.2m) the previous year. Although best known for PC titles such as GTR: FIA GT Racing Game and Warfront: Turning Point, the company also recently revealed that it had acquired the Ready 2 Rumble Boxing franchise from Midway, with Japanese firm AKI Corporation – best known for the first two Def Jam games and a number of wrestling games on Nintendo formats – to develop. CEO Michele Pes said: “2006 was an extremely successful and important year for our Company. We grew as planned in all areas. We clearly exceeded the targets we set within our international group, development, technology, and portfolio structure. In addition, we strengthened our strategic position in the key Asian market for the long term. 10tacle Studios AG will continue this growth trend in 2007. We believe that we are only at the beginning of what is possible.”
