Representatives from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) have announced that the 2005 D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate and Entertain) Summit will be held at Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning on 31st January 2005. The three day-event intends to bring together developers and publishers from around to discuss the state of the industry, its trends and the future. At the same time, a call for entries was made for the 8th Annual Interactive Achievements Awards ceremony, to honor outstanding technical and artistic achievement in the world of interactive entertainment. The awards will take place on the second evening of the D.I.C.E. Summit. Games publicly released between January 1, 2004 and December 31, 2004 -- whose publisher is a member in good standing with the Academy -- is eligible to win an award.
