Organizers of the Games Convention Developers Conference (GCDC) in Leipzig, Germany have announced the creation of a new advisory board comprised of representatives from video game publishers and developers whose aim will be to further the strategic outline of the annual event. The members of the GCDC advisory board are Bob Bates, Streamline Studios CEO Alexander Fernández, Stormfront Studios CEO Don L. Daglow, Kohnke Communications vice president Sean Kauppinen, Tom Putzki, Strategic Alternatives' Bob Wallace, and GCDC project director Frank Sliwka. In addition to their support in finding topics and determining relevant issues for the future of the game industry, event organizers note that the board members will act as international ambassadors of GCDC. This year's recently announced event is scheduled to take place at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre from August 20-22, and will feature three separate program tracks covering game development, business, and science. The conference will play host to international keynotes, workshops, and panel discussions, as well as offer numerous networking opportunities for attendees. Sliwka explained, “With GCDC as the most significant European platform for game developers, we aim to continue to bring together and strengthen the European branch of the industry. The advisory board is an important step in this direction.” Streamline Studios' Fernández added: “Both Streamline Studios and GCDC are built on strong partnerships. We believe in the GCDC as a forum for the exchange of ideas and networking for European developers and look forward to working with the advisory board to move this groundbreaking platform forward.”
