Officials from Acclaim Games and development veteran David Perry (Enter the Matrix) have announced plans to enlist the aid of players in developing a new massively multiplayer online game project, dubbed simply “Top Secret.” Perry, who is also currently working with Acclaim on the mature themed MMORPG 2Moons, will work on the project in conjunction with suggestions from Acclaim's member community as part of a “collaborative effort with some of the industry’s best talent.” The industry veteran, who left Shiny in 2006, also hints at “surprise guests” for the project as a way to “inspire and mentor the contributors.” Player suggestions will also be judged by Perry, with the winning contributor netting the opportunity to work as director on the game, with Perry serving as the project's executive producer. In addition, Acclaim officials note that once the game is released, the winner will also earn royalties from the game's sales. In an interesting twist, Acclaim adds that applicants need not have any prior game development experience, with Perry adding that he will not look at any resumes. “We only care about the pure, focused, passionate talent they show up with,” he stated. Those interested in taking part in this unique opportunity should visit the project's official website. "This is the only chance I know of to jumpstart a directorship career in the video game industry," commented Perry. "Everyone wins. They get to learn how to make professional games, and if they get anything in, they get a real professional credit on their resume...But, if they win, well then they get their life changed."
