Officials from event organizers The Game Initiative have announced that the Advertising In Games West Forum will take place in San Francisco on July 28th. The event follows the Advertising In Games Forum held in New York earlier this year, which attracted more than 250 advertising and video game professionals. The agenda is due to cover the claimed "emergence of games as the next big marketing medium", and will discuss technologies in development to enable dynamic in-game marketing. Key elements of the forum also include how to get feedback and data from ads in games to ensure maximum return on investment. Speakers include industry leaders from both the game industry and the advertising business, including: Microsoft, Ogilvy Interactive, Double Fusion, Wild tangent, Massive Incorporated, Nielsen Interactive Entertainment, United Talent Agency, Yankee Group, BlockDot, InGame partners, Skyworks Technologies, Arnell Group and others. Mitch Davis, CEO, Massive Inc. will address the audience in a keynote discussing how in-game marketing is impacting publishing models. Davis will also showcase new research to demonstrate the sizeable brand lift that video games can offer advertisers. The day-long conference will feature six sessions entitled Business Drivers, Campaign Tracking and ROI, New Platforms and Technologies, The Publisher Perspective, Advergaming, and Developer View. Further information on the conference can be found at the official Advertising In Games website.
