BioGraphic Technologies, Inc., maker of real-time artificial intelligence (AI) tools and middleware, has announced that its AI.implant SDK will enable functionality and performance for game developers targeting the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. As a major AI SDK, AI.implant is equipped to exploit the parallel architecture of the new Xbox, according to the company. AI.implant has recently been used in current-generation games such as Midway's Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and Sony's Major League Baseball 2006, as well as Hip Interactive/Kuju's George A. Romero Presents City of the Dead. "BGT is a recognized pioneer in AI middleware and we are delighted to have them as the first AI middleware on the next generation Xbox platform," said Tracey Frankcom, program manager, Xbox Tools and Middleware. "AI.implant will allow game developers to do in real-time what they could only previously visualize using pre-rendered cinematics."
