AIAS Board Gets Epic's Capps, Stormfront's Daglow

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has announced the election of Epic Games president Michael Capps, as well as the re-election of Stormfront president and CEO Don Daglow to the organization's board of directors. Prior to his position as president of Epic Games, Capps was president of Scion Studios, and served as a professor at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, where he also split his time as producer, designer and lead programmer of the America's Army computer game, which was sponsored by the U.S. Army. Daglow has served as Stormfront's president and CEO since it was founded in 1988, during which time the developer has delivered titles such as The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, NASCAR Racing for EA Sports, and the original Neverwinter Nights. Prior to Stormfront, Daglow was director of Intellivision game development for Mattel, as well as a producer at Electronic Arts, and head of the entertainment and education division at Broderbund. Daglow first joined the AIAS board of directors in 2003. The 10,000-member organization is comprised of 16 industry professionals representing publishers such as Sony, EA, Nintendo, Microsoft and Ubisoft as well as the independent development community.
