Alias executives announced today that the company that makes the 3D animation tool Motionbuilder, Kaydara, will soon operate under the Alias moniker. The two companies announced the news today at Siggraph, in Los Angeles and say the deal will likely close completely within 60 days. Additionally, Kaydara’s current president will join the executive management team at Alias. "This move effectively unites the top 3D product development talent in Toronto and Montreal--allowing our team to harness this combined creative power and deliver innovative 3D software solutions that enable our customers to create, visualize and communicate the world's most compelling digital visual experiences,” said Doug Walker, president of Alias, in a press release.
