Anark Corporation announced that Anark Gameface, a professional game 3D user interface solution, is now available to Xbox 360 developers. Anark Gameface is a bundle of two technologies for streamlining the creation of both the front end user interfaces and the in-game user interfaces. The first is Anark Studio, an authoring environment. The second is Anark Format SDK, a toolkit for getting data out of Anark Studio and into your game engine. The result is a content pipeline that lets artists create UIs without the need for programmer involvement. As developers build their next generation Xbox 360 game engines, their investment in middleware solutions that can be leveraged across multiple titles can result in substantial cost savings, according to the company. With the graphical capabilities of the Xbox 360 hardware, developers want advanced UIs that match the visuals of their games. Anark also notes that Gameface offers the ability to create 3D UIs that re-use the existing game engine.
