Areté Entertainment has announced the release of Digital Gameware version 1.0. Digital Gameware is a physics driven middleware solution for game developers that enables simulation and rendering of ocean environment FX at real-time frame rates. Digital Gameware v1.0 features easy to use, drop-in C++ components for adding physics-driven wave surfaces, buoyancy FX, polygonal mesh geometry, photo-realistic texture, environment and sphere maps to game environments. The Digital Gameware C++ API delivers platform independent vertex data and bitmap texture data that can easily be integrated into OpenGL, Direct 3D and other rendering pipelines. Digital Gameware v1.0 is available for $15,000 per game.
