The Apply Serious Games (ASG) conference, a UK event concentrating on applications of serious games in education and training, has announced Darren Pryke of Cisco and Jeff Tseng of Secret Level as the latest speakers to present at the 2006 conference, which has been extended an extra day, and will now be held from May 25-26 at the Society of Chemical Industry in central London. Darren Pryke works with Nader Nanjiani, a known supporter and user of Serious Games who has spoken at the Serious Games Summit in DC. He brings a unique perspective as an end-user of serious games within a multi-national company whilst Jeff Tseng provides a view of taking a serious game, in this case America's Army, and re-purposing it as a mass market title - focusing on both design and business issues. The rest of the conference will examine issues related to serious games, such as experiential and informal learning, sustainable communities, effective teams and leadership, and work-flow performance support. Registration information, as well as a call for papers is available at the official Apply Serious Games conference website.
