ATI disclosed today that the Ontario Securities Commission has contacted the company about possible insider trading deals which occurred in 2000.
The OSC requested more information about a possible link between an announcement that ATI made on May 24, 2000 about revenue and earnings shortfalls in Q3 2000, and stock trades made by company employees -- including officers and directors -- just prior to that announcement. ATI said it is cooperating with the OSC and has appointed Paul Russo, a director who joined the ATI board in January 2002, to conduct an independent review of the concerns. Mr. Russo has retained independent professional advisors to assist him in this review.
