Publisher Atlus has announced that it will be bringing Japanese developer Success's DS strategy role playing game Rondo of Swords to North America in April of this year. Atlus says the game "combines an epic narrative, complete with a branching story and multiple endings, with an innovative combat mechanic that takes advantage of the DS touch screen and forces you to add even more strategy and planning to your attacks." The publisher promises "challenging gameplay, a lengthy campaign, deep party management, and customizable skills" in a story that sees players working to "vanquish the oppressing armies" on a quest to "deliver the Kingdom of Bretwalde from tyranny." The game is the latest localization Atlus has undertaken by Success, following its rogue-like Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, the title star of which is said to make a cameo in Rondo of Swords.
