Gamasutra has learned that veteran project leader/designer/writer Hal Barwood is leaving LucasArts, where's he's been a central figure since 1990 when Lucas lured him to the company's budding game division (then-called Lucasfilm Games). Prior to that, Barwood had worked in Hollywood as a director and/or writer on films like "Sugarland Express", "Dragonslayer" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (uncredited). Over the past 13 years he's worked on titles like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Big Sky Trooper, Rebel Assault II, Indiana Jones and His Desktop Adventures, Yoda Stories, and RTX Red Rock.
