Following recent news regarding media and film production company Big Screen Entertainment Group's plans to enter the video game and mobile content industry, the company has today announced that it is currently developing its first massively multiplayer online (MMO) game for the PC. According to a statement released by Big Screen, the upcoming MMO will incorporate elements from the company's upcoming film 'Babysitter Wanted,' which centers on a young girl who tries to protect herself and the child she is babysitting from a series of strange events. The game is being developed to appeal to to 14+ teen through the adult demographic, and will be officially announced in the coming weeks. The company noted that plans regarding the upcoming MMO include a two stage roll out, with the MMO making its initial debut within the next twelve months. Following its initial release, Big Screen plans to release another version of the game as a full scale massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for the PC, as well as next-generation console platforms including the PlayStation 3. "I'm extremely pleased with the deal we've made to produce the MMO," commented Big Screen CEO, Kimberley Kates. "We are working with top notch developers and programmers who will adapt the most exciting and game worthy set pieces from our upcoming motion picture, 'Babysitter Wanted.' And the cross marketing potential for both the game and film is phenomenal."
