UK developer Bits Corp Inc. has publically released its preliminary financial results for the year ending 31st March 2004, revealing a welcome return to profit for the creators of multi-platform console stealth action title Rogue Ops. Turnover for the year was UKP 1.85 million for the small UK developer, with a profit of UKP 107,000, compared with a loss of UKP 484,000 after tax in 2003. Although the company notes that sales of Rogue Ops "did not meet our or the publisher's expectations", the fact that the game was delivered "on time and within budget" evidently aided Bits' bottom line. Going forward, the firm has announced development of Constantine, a PlayStation 2 and Xbox game based on Warner Bros' upcoming Keanu Reeves-starring movie (and, in turn, based on the Hellblazer comic book series), and has reached an agreement with UK-based publisher SCi to distribute and publish the title in 2005.
