Project Gotham and Blur studio Bizarre Creations is developing James Bond 007: Blood Stone, a third-person action adventure game published by parent company Activision. While perhaps best known for its racing games, Liverpool, UK-based Bizarre has created games in other genres with titles like The Club, Geometry Wars and Boom Boom Rocket. The studio is developing Blood Stone for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and a Nintendo DS version is in development at n-Space. The game -- which has been rumored for months -- is slated to arrive this holiday. Grammy and BRIT Award winner Joss Stone is taking a lead role in Blood Stone's new original Bond storyline, penned by Bruce Feirstein. She will also create original music for the game with the song "I'll Take It All," performed by Stone and the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart. Gameplay will include third-person action elements as well as "behind-the-wheel" action on land and water, Activision said. Blood Stone will also have multiplayer online modes that support 16 players. "The game will feature a diverse array of multiplayer modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3 and PC players to battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales," explained Activision Publishing head of marketing for licensed properties David Pokress. Blood Stone will also include the likenesses and voices of current James Bond man Daniel Craig and "M" actress Judi Dench.
