Boonty Inc., a digital game distributor and a seller of PC casual games, has announced two new executive-level hires. The company has appointed a new Executive Vice President of Business Development, as well as a new Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. The new executive VP of business development is Kevin Malone, whose last position was Vice President of Sales and Distribution at Liquid Media, another digital content delivery company. Prior to that, Malone worked as international business development manager for Silicon Graphics and in sales at IBM and Control Data. Hired as the new chief marketing and strategy officer is Gabe Zicherman, who previously worked as vice president of strategy and communications for Trymedia Systems, which handles digital content delivery for services such as Gametap, MSN, and Yahoo! Games. Prior to that, Zicherman was head of marketing for the CMP Game Group, which handles Gamasutra.com, Game Developer Magazine, and the Game Developers Conference. “The addition of Kevin and Gabe to our executive team underscores our commitment to the American market and the tremendous demand for our unique brand of global, digital game services,” said Romain Nouzareth, CEO and Co-Founder of Boonty Inc.
