CBR Game Cloud Computing

Case-based reasoning (CBR)  is the process of solving new problems based on the solutions of similar past problems. Lets take these scenario. You purchase a new barbeque  for Xmas which has hundreds of nuts and bolts to put together. Some people read the manual.  I learn by reviewing schematics. For this case-based reason, I am an engineer and like to review schematics and I have put my neighbour’s barbeques together. There are probably many “how to”  youtube videos that allow all of us to record CBR scenarios.  Youtube videos are now the most popular way of game learning concepts and many people may actually read a step by step instructions in a manual but in cloud computing this will change.

Everyone has probably put together some Xmas gift with many parts and are usually left with one or two parts.   We have a human conscience nature of replaying or judging what may happen when building.   Case-based reasoning is a prominent kind of analogy making for replaying new experiences.  Case-based reasoning will be the most  powerful method for cloud computer reasoning, but also a pervasive animation  behavior  engine in everyday human problem solving.  If people can base any experience from their own then they seem motivated to participate and build.  If you are an instructional designer then the history of CBR is a know expertise that gamers should pay attention too.

Game Animation is a type  of CBR.  Most technical animators have  keyframe walk cycles many times before for characters. They increase their knowledge by over 50% for everyone new experience. This is no different than game storyboard artists.  They take this knowledge and put a spin on new characters, staging and environments.

What Cloud computing tomorrow will do is will allow normal people to become game developers and design because they can take their real-life experience and bring it to a game.  Cloud computing games like www.wildpockets.com are the necessary link to the new CBR games. Social networking crowds will become a super constructivists in new platforms such as Google TV apps or a Rim Tablet Apps.  This will change the way experiences are made. Best of all we can have fun doing it at the same time.
