Conspiracy Confirms Wii Support, Titles For H1 2007

Representatives from California based publisher and developer Conspiracy Entertainment have announced that the company plans to release titles for the Wii, noting the console's “ease of use” and mass market appeal as the chief reasons for the decision. Company officials commented that Conspiracy is currently looking for potential licenses and developers for its efforts to support the Wii. While no specific games have been confirmed, the company added that it expects to release its first Wii titles in the first half of 2007. "We plan to publish games for a variety of users,” commented Conspiracy Entertainment president and CEO Sirus Ahmadi, “including a whole new audience of first-time players worldwide.” This news marks the latest in Conspiracy's confirmed suport for multiple platforms, with the company confirming a move into the U.S. mobile games market in 2005. Conspiracy is perhaps best known for importing niche Japanese titles such as Treasure’s Bangai-O for the Dreamcast and Stretch Panic for the PlayStation 2 to North America, as well as Western games such as Starbreeze’s Enclave, but has seen a significant period of dormancy and schedule slips over recent years. Conspiracy Entertainment has also published import titles such as Ultimate Block Party, as well as a number of Flash-related titles and UMD horror releases. In addition, the company also recently confirmed that it plans to release the M-rated PSP billiards game Girls Gone Wild Pocket Pool in April.
