Definitive Solutions Company's Cincinnati-based Creative Learning Group in a partnership with Team Play Learning Dynamics of Dundee, Scotland announced The Land of GY$T, a serious game for the PC for assessing sales skills, as well as teaching consultative and solution sales through game theory. The game was shown during E3 as well as at the recent ASTD 2006 International Conference and Exhibition. The Land of GY$T is an online game that can be tailored to meet specific goals of the sales organization. Learning is derived directly from training objectives using a dialog tool and software management system that tracks and analyzes player responses. Players learn in a non-threatening yet engaging environment where individual knowledge, player preference and motivation come together. In addition, since the entire gaming experience is on the internet, the cost of training is reduced or enhanced based on the corporate objectives. The software supports any sales competencies and behaviors learned in other blended learning programs and aims to bundle together affordable internet-enabled computer gaming and the environment of the complex sale together in one package. “The Land of GY$T is a serious game with a vast number of learning outcomes that will be of great benefit to sales teams from all businesses,” said Jim Piggot, CEO of TPLD. "We firmly believe that we have hit the mark at a price point that makes game-based learning a compelling argument for large and small businesses alike.”
